Lorne Rodin graduated from Ecole Kine-Concept with a degree in Kinetic Swedish Massage Therapy. He then studied Neurostructural Integration Technique (NST), an advanced Bowen Therapy course taken in Chicago in 2005 and later assisted in teaching an NST course in Montreal in 2007 and 2009 and has received his certificate in Advanced NST. He is a member of the AMPQ (Association of Massage Professionals of Quebec).
His reputation and positive feedback have resulted in numerous physician and client referrals, giving him experience with chronic headaches, TMJ issues, irritable bowel syndrome and other medical issues. Temporal mandibilar joint.
Lorne's approach to therapeutic massage incorporates the importance of balance between the sacrum and the cranium. In other words form governs function, where the breakdown in function can result anywhere in the body and can result in muscle pain or organ failure. Restoring posture and balance to the soft tissues involved in that structure requires a multitude of techniques.
You will experience deep fascial tissue work, light neuromuscular stimulation (www.nstcanada.com) as well as Kinetic Swedish circulatory work in every session. He truly loves what he does and your body will feel it.
Deep tissue massage is a type of massage aimed at the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and fascia, also called connective tissue. Deep tissue massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as Swedish massage, but the pressure will generally be more intense. It is also a more focused type of massage, as the therapist works to release chronic muscle tension or knots (also known as "adhesions.")
It shouldn't hurt, but it's likely to be a bit more uncomfortable than a classic Swedish massage. You should always feel free to speak up if the pressure is too much for you.
